Vasari Singers, founded over 30 years ago under Jeremy Backhouse, is among the leading chamber choirs in Britain, performing music ranging from Renaissance to contemporary with passion and sensitivity, to exacting standards and considerable acclaim.

Since winning the prestigious Sainsbury’s Choir of the Year competition in 1988, the choir has performed regularly at major concert venues in London, as well as in many of the cathedrals and abbeys of the UK. In recent years, they have sung at Canterbury, Bath, Salisbury, Durham, Lincoln and Truro.

New music is central to the choir’s activities, and since 2000 Vasari have commissioned over 25 works from British composers.
