Vasari Singers and Jeremy Backhouse are delighted to return with another of our popular ‘Come and Sing’ events. And it’s a big one! The fantastic 40-part motet, Spem in Alium, which we last sang as part of an online Come & Sing during Covid, and Domenico Scarlatti’s 10-part Stabat Mater – a fantastic combination for a day’s singing..

Registration will be at 10am, and we will start at 10.30am. There will be tea, coffee, cake (and healthier snacks!) provided at the breaks. Please make your own arrangements for lunch – it is fine to bring a packed lunch and stay in the church. There will be two morning rehearsal sessions and one afternoon session plus a short informal free concert at the end for singers’ family and friends. The day ends at 4.30pm.

You can buy music hire when you buy your ticket, or feel free to bring your own copies. Any edition is fine!

Once you have bought tickets for you and any guests, we will be in touch with a short form for you to fill in indicating voice preferences. We will then allocate parts and get back to you well in advance of the day letting you know which part you have been allocated in case you want to do any preparation (not obligatory!)
